Mastering the Art of Baking

A year ago my other half gave me this book for Christmas, I got the hint! I was very enthusiastic to give it a go and, I think, I cooked something out of there once, but obviously it wasn't very memorable as I don't remember what it was... Then we sold a house, moved out, bought another house, moved in, and the book had to stay in a box packed away with other cookery books for a whole year.

Now it found its place back in my kitchen again! And I resumed my "Mastering the Art of Baking" with a simple but delicious crumble, a very traditional British dessert. It was supposed to be Apple, Rhubarb and Strawberry Crumble, but finding Rhubarb in January proved to be difficult in the UK, so it had to be just Apple and Strawberry:

It was DELICIOUS, if I say so myself! I never knew crumble was such an easy thing to make. Dave ate both portions in less than 10 minutes :) I added crumble to my new favourite (quick and easy) desserts to make.
